On October 9th, I celebrated 1-year being cancer-free!! On October 15th, my test results confirmed it. I was left with residuals of a permanent colostomy bag and chemo-induced neuropathy. But all is well. I just have to dress up like I have a hazmat suit to go outside. The cold air wreaks havoc on my hands, feet, and legs. But, I’m good. I got my taste buds back and I can now eat and drink something cold. I just can’t touch it. I’m making up for all the Braum’s black walnut ice cream that I missed. I have completed my book and I found a publisher for my book!! I have submitted my manuscript twice and it was rejected. They turned down the screenshots of the permissions to use the photos in my book. I had to contact each photographer and get an email indicating I had their permission to use the photo(s) in our book. It took a while to get the first set of permissions. But the photographers were very helpful and I was able to gather the second set of permissions through the email in a very timely manner. I had to make sure everything was in order. This was the first phase of my book project. You are allowed 3 opportunities to submit your transcript before the publisher returns it to you to start over again. We now have a name for our book, “Peace in the midst of it all”. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 My next blog post will be in 2 weeks June 1st, on my new website.
