Drainage – #44

This is my 5th or 6th visit to the hospital concerning my abscess/drainage tube. The ride to the hospital was not as bad as the other rides.  I don’t know, but since I have started chemo infusions, just a few days ago, I have not been in as much pain with my drainage tube. Usually, when the hospital calls to set up my pre-op I have to schedule a bed to lay in, instead of sitting in the waiting room. My appointments were always scheduled early so they could make sure there was a bed available. (I thank God for showing me favor through the hospital staff). When I went to the patient’s pre-op room, they did not give me anesthesia or prep me with an IV for anesthesia.  They rolled me into a room and the nurse distracted me by asking me a question while the attending doctor pulled the tube out.  I did not feel a thing. (Praise God, that could have been tragic). I really thought my insides were growing around the tube, but that’s how the devil can mess with your mind. It took 22 days for the hole in my stomach to heal for the drainage tube from my cancer surgery. It took about 3 days before the hole in my buttock to heal from my abscess surgery.  February 14th was on a Thursday and I was able to go to Church for the first time since the first Sunday in October (about 4 1/2 months).  I love worship service, I love learning and applying God’s Word. I would usually miss 3 or 4 Sundays a year, so you know how excited I was to be there praising and worshiping.  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  John 4:23
