Left From Right – #17

Day 6, 37 days to go. Tuesday, July 17, 2018. After having radiation treatment, I made it to work on time for my meeting.  It was my two team leaders and me facing our management team in a huge meeting room. I could discern the atmosphere in the room and the look on their faces; and I thought, “This is not going to be good.”

My “Scripture for the day”, Isaiah 54:10, Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” say the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Management started speaking and it was literally, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Then I heard, “moving the claim processing to another company”. I looked at my team leaders and they were trying to hold it together, as they tried to take in all the information.  My TL’s have a hard time trying to make something that does not make sense, make sense. I tell them, you cannot make something that does not make sense, make sense. If we are given a directive, our job is to carry out the request. Once we have asked our questions and given our professional business opinions and Management wants to continue down a dark tunnel with a train coming, we just implement and hold on.

That one statement “moving the claim processing to another company” turned my world upside down…..
