We are all human beings that God cares for. God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” 1 We have dominion over the fish, birds, cattle, wild animals of the earth, and every creeping thing upon the earth. We do not have dominion over other human beings. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? 2 God cares for every human being because he loves us. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 3 The whosoever is every believer. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, will have eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no respect of persons with God. 4 Growing up my mother always told us that no one was better than us and we were not better than anyone. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, Nor angels, nor principalities, Nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 5 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? 7
