When the publisher called, I asked him about the daily devotional I was writing. He indicated that 75% of the book needed to be thoughts in my own words. My plans were to have 365 pictures (taken by my son) and have 365 scriptures for each day of the year. That only added up to 50% of the material being original work from me. Most of the scriptures used in my blogs are in my daily devotional. I started writing scriptures on June 19, 2018, it is now February 20, 2019. I have written over 400 scriptures. Each scripture is compared to King James Version (KJV), and/or New King James Version (NKJV) and/or New International Version (NIV). Once I was able to sit up, it did not take much time to type the scriptures on a spreadsheet in Excel. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16. I have looked up over 1,200 scriptures, I know I am being prepared for something and I can’t stand the excitement. My understanding from my conversation with the publisher was I needed more substance added to my daily devotional. This was like getting an “official” assignment. I felt a little purpose-driven. I still could not do any heavy lifting, I still had a private nurse come in once a week to change my colostomy bag, take my vital signs, and I had someone come in once a week to help sweep my floors and do other cleanings. Since I was still under medical care and did not have a job to return to, I was free to research as many hours as I wanted (sitting up) on my book. I could only sit for 20 to 30 minutes at a time before having to get up and walk around. I thought it was from my abscess surgery, but I think it is from my radiation treatment. My buttocks would get totally numb.
