There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, Ephesians 5:25. I said I would dedicate a blog for Rick, now is a good time. Rick’s 60th birthday is coming up in a few days. I plan to have the food catered and just invite Ken and Shayla (my stepdaughters), the grandbabies and Richard. I have asked Ken, Shayla, and my niece to decorate while Rick is out running errands. Everything went according to plans. The dinner party is over and we had a great time. I had a great cook to cook all of Rick’s favorite foods, and the food was awesome with plenty of left-overs. I participated as much as possible. Rick’s birthday is on February 11th, but we had his birthday dinner early on February 9th, four days after my first chemo treatment and I still had my drainage tube. I spent most of my time on the sofa while Rick enjoyed the children and grandchildren. I hated that I could not do more for him for his 60th birthday. I had been planning his 60th birthday banquet party for 2 years, but the Lord had other plans. He was pleased with the small gathering. Rick has been such a great provider for me. I cannot wait to start trying to make it up to him. I will be grateful for him and appreciative of him for the rest of my days. Rick has been there strong since the day we both cried together in the washroom. He has been my caregiver. It takes a special person to be a good caregiver and he is that special person.
