The Fallout – #18

Tuesday 17, 2018, the day continues.  The team leaders and I had approximately 30 minutes to pull ourselves together before our next meeting with our team members and Management.  We went to the breakroom and tried to calmly discuss what had just happened and how we were going to proceed with the team members present.  Although our jobs were being eliminated, we had to put on a strong front for our team members and be ready for the fallout after the meeting. Now, the large conference room was filled, with the temporary team members, the team members, the mobile team members (on the phone), the team leaders, Management, and me. Management went through their presentation to the team members, letting the team know their last day of employment could possibly be September 7, 2018. I say possibly because there were a few job openings where we could apply for as new employees. We were all given envelopes with instructions to separate and go to another meeting where a represented from Human Resource was present to explain the package and answer questions.

When something is known to be solid in your life is taken away, we have to know, the love of the LORD cannot be shaken.  Isaiah 54:10, Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” say the LORD, who has compassion on you.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12. God knows our future.
