Virtual Doctor Visit & Curbside Pickup – #68

These are the actual instructions for my virtual visit.

“To prepare for the virtual visit you will need to log into your Integris and Me account. Click on Visits, then appointments and visits, then click on the appointment. You will then need to go to registration and complete that. On your appointment day you will click this link below. Once you have done this it will ask for your name.  Once you check in here it will put you in a virtual waiting room. The doctor will log in and join your call. If you have any questions please let me know.”

I did not provide the link, but these were my instructions.  Besides the fact you are actually in a virtual waiting room waiting on the doctor, you can get there and in error, which I did.  So, the nurse called me on my cell phone and tells me to click on the link.  I let her know the link was grayed out. (I could hear her talking to someone in the background).  Finally, I got in and was back in the waiting room.  The doctor talked more about being virtual than he did about my bloodwork results. It was the same with my primary physician. I believe I was the first patient on both calls.  I didn’t mind helping them to make the next call better, I kind of missed testing systems and processes.  Curbside pickup at Home Depot was awesome. I ordered a patio storage box and when it was ready to be picked up I called Home Depot.  They told me I could pick up my order as long as I was there before 8:00 pm closing time. It was a few minutes after 7:00 pm. We live about 40 to 45-minutes (on a good day) drive to Norman’s Home Depot. Rick IS NOT a spare of the moment person. After I got off the phone with Home Depot, I told him, “Put your shoes on we got time to make it to Home Depot before they close. The drive was a little tense.  We got to the curbside parking spot at 7:55 pm, we left Home Depot at 7:59 pm.  Curbside pickup at Wal Mart pharmacy, the credit card machine was not working, so I was told to come back later and I did and it still was not working. I went back the next day and it still was not working, so I had to go inside.  I wore my mask and thought I was going to suffocate to death. Curbside pickup at Michael’s was fine as long as they know you are outside in the car waiting.  I waited for about 35 minutes before I called them again for my merchandise. I had to pull up to the door and they brought my merchandise right out. I am just glad I made the trip to Norman and back before needing to use the restroom.  I was not prepared for that.  I was in Norman at Michael’s and my normal routine is to go to GiGi’s for a wedding cake cupcake.  I was forced to wear a face mask and blue rubber gloves with my Hawaiian dress.  I was looking a hot mess.   That mask and blue rubber gloves do not do anything for any of my outfits.  Romans 12:2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  Next blog: Extraverts working from home and being self-solation.
